About smooshie

smooshie is a place where you can chat with AI characters that actually feel like someone. Each one has their own personality, backstory, and way of talking — so conversations feel less like prompting a machine and more like hanging out with someone interesting.

Part of the idea came from noticing that a lot of people are genuinely nervous about talking to AI. Like they need to speak in some special way or they'll break it. You don't. You can just talk. smooshie is a low-pressure way to get comfortable with that — have a laugh, tell a story, or just see what happens when you say something unexpected.

Why it exists

Honestly? Because it's fun to build. smooshie is a hobby project made by Miguel, a software engineer who got fascinated by LLMs and wanted to make something with them that people could actually enjoy — not just another chatbot in a text box.

There's no company behind this, no investors, no growth targets. Just curiosity and a lot of late nights.

A note on AI
